Cairo, Egypt native and St. Cloud State fullback Ziad Kaddah joins DeKalb County United for 2026.

A native of Cairo, Egypt, Ziad's soccer journey spans across continents. He developed his tactical foundation playing at the high school level in Egypt, where he was named a Player of the Year, before moving to the United States to pursue his collegiate career. Capable of locking down either the right or left fullback positions, his versatility provides a massive boost to the United defense at the NIU Soccer Stadium.

When looking at summer options to continue his development, the unique community culture in DeKalb won him over instantly. "I chose DKCU because of the great family feel and atmosphere, as well as the coaching," Ziad shared. "It feels like a place where I can truly develop my game."

Ziad operates with a deep passion for the sport, a trait heavily influenced by his father, who has guided and supported him through every step of his life and soccer career. That lifetime of dedication culminated in a milestone moment Ziad will never forget: the first time he stepped out to play a match in front of a massive crowd.

"Fans can expect absolute energy and high-level performance from me every single match."

If you followed Ziad for a day, you’d find an athlete who balances intense commitment with a vibrant social life, as he loves nothing more than celebrating victories and relaxing with friends. To keep his body operating at a collegiate peak, he keeps his diet clean and simple—he could genuinely eat any kind of fruit every single day and never get tired of it.

To match his global rhythm and high-energy personality, we’ve added his walkout anthem, "Changes" by Black Sherif, to the 2026 Pre-Game Playlist.

Welcome to the United family, Ziad!
