HE’S BACK! Coach PJ Hamilton Returns to Lead DKCU Men’s First Team in 2027!
Big news, United family! We are thrilled to announce that PJ Hamilton is returning to lead our Men’s First Team for the 2027 season!
If you’ve been around DKCU for a bit, you know PJ isn't just a familiar face on the touchline; he’s part of the fabric of this club. He knows what it means to wear the green and yellow, and he shares the vision we have for soccer right here in DeKalb County.
The Journey So Far
PJ’s history with United runs deep:
2019: Stepped in as our Reserve Team Head Coach, establishing a track record for developing local talent and building a strong squad culture.
2022: Promoted to Men's First Team Assistant Coach, bringing fresh ideas and helping lift performance on the pitch.
2023: Took over as Head Coach, leading the squad with the grit and heart our supporters expect every summer at NIU.
Under his leadership, United hasn't just competed; we’ve set standard expectations. We’ve set records, helped players move on to collegiate opportunities, and kept our squad connected to the kids and families who pack the stands every game day.
Looking Ahead to 2027
We aren't just looking back at past achievements; we're building for what's next:
Developing Local Talent: Continuing to build clear pathways for local players to train, develop, and excel at the adult level.
Deepening Community Roots: Expect more youth clinic appearances, community match nights, and ways for families to get involved off the pitch.
Competitive Drive: Building a roster capable of making noise in the postseason and bringing top-tier soccer back to DeKalb.
A Note to Our Supporters
To our fans, families, host families, and sponsors: thank you for making DKCU what it is. Matches at NIU Stadium wouldn't be the same without your energy, noise, and support.
Pack the stands, bring the family, and get ready for an exciting chapter ahead.
Welcome back, Coach PJ! Up The Annies! ⬛🟩🟨
