From the very beginning moments of DeKalb County United’s story, one name has been there from the start — Torie Moen.

As a founding volunteer and later Women’s Team Director, Torie has been part of nearly every chapter in DKCU history. From the first tryouts and community events to the creation of the DKCU Women’s program, she’s helped build the foundation this club stands on.
Club president John Hall had this to say :
“From the very beginning moments of DKCU's existence, establishing a strong group of volunteers was essential to creating a sustainable soccer club. At that early stage, Torie Moen stepped up. She’s been selfless and passionate, ushering in the launch of the DKCU Women’s program and creating countless memories for our fans. We’ll miss her — but we’ll see her in the stands.”
Like any volunteer-driven organization, people grow, life shifts, and transitions happen. After years of incredible dedication, Torie is stepping away from her role — but her fingerprints are all over what DKCU has become. From helping launch the women’s team to being the steady hand behind so many moving parts, her work made a real difference.
Torie has given so much of her time, energy, and heart to this club and to the community that rallies behind it. She’s helped create memories for fans, players, and volunteers that will last for years. We’re endlessly grateful for everything she’s done — and we know we’ll still see her cheering loud and proud in the stands. 💚🌽
