We are absolutely THRILLED to announce that Diego Salazar has signed with DKCU for the 2025 season! The 19-year-old wing sensation from Rochelle will bring his explosive speed, technical ability, and goal-scoring prowess to our roster.
Salazar, known to teammates as "El Diego," has been turning heads at Kishwaukee College with his versatility on both the left and right wings. His ability to create opportunities and finish them makes him a dual threat that will immediately strengthen our attacking options.
"I joined DKCU because it offers a high level of soccer with intense competition and the coaches are always pushing me to my limit which helps me improve every day," Salazar shared when asked about his decision.
Getting to Know Diego
When he's not dominating on the pitch, Diego dreams of traveling to Spain—no surprise given his support for Real Madrid! This ambitious young player chooses small gatherings over big parties and prefers Coke over Pepsi.
What drives Diego? When asked what will matter most to him at age 80, he thoughtfully responded, "If I achieve all the goals I wanted to accomplish." This winning mindset perfectly aligns with DKCU's philosophy of continuous improvement and excellence.
