Sycamore native and Purdue Fort Wayne defender Lizzie Haub returns to DeKalb County United for 2026. A veteran presence back in the Annies' defense.

Lizzie is no stranger to the United family, having worn the green and yellow in previous seasons. For her, playing for DKCU is about more than just the minutes on the pitch—it’s about the community she grew up in. "I have loved playing for DKCU in the past," Lizzie shared. "Having soccer be such a big thing in my hometown means so much, and it’s been amazing to see the club grow."

A battle-tested defender at the Division I level with the Mastodons, Lizzie brings a veteran presence to the locker room. She values the culture of the sport, noting that the bonds formed during team travel and hotel stays are the memories she treasures most. That team-first mentality is exactly what has helped the Annies grow into the community staple it is today.

"I am so thankful to be a part of the team again this year!"

When she isn't locking down opposing attackers, Lizzie’s perfect summer evening is a classic Midwest masterpiece: grilling out with friends and family, followed by a bonfire with s'mores and a good book. And if you're looking for the secret to her matchday performance, look no further than her favorite pre-game snack: Mini Starbursts.

We’ve added her legendary walkout track, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica, to the 2026 Pre-Game Playlist. Prepare for the intensity when she steps back onto the turf at the NIU Soccer Stadium.
