Bonny Back for More: Jack Bonavia Returns to DKCU Midfield in 2025

He’s back — and he’s still Bonny.

Jack Bonavia, a creative and composed midfielder from Rockford, IL, is returning for his third season with DeKalb County United in 2025. And we couldn’t be more hyped to welcome him home.

A product of North Central College, Jack brings next-level vision, tempo control, and ice-in-the-veins penalty kick swagger. You might remember his clutch finish that secured a state title like this. That calm-under-pressure vibe? Yeah, it never left.

Jack chose DKCU because of our commitment to player development, our game day atmosphere, and the all-in support from volunteers and the community. He says, "DKCU never fails to put on a good show" — and Bonny never fails to show up.

Off the pitch, Jack’s got taste. He dreams of visiting the Emirates Stadium, supports Arsenal, and picks health food over fast food (respect). He’s all about ambition, prefers small gatherings, and if you’re grabbing a drink, make it Pepsi.

At 80, Jack says what will matter most is time spent with family and friends. Next on his bucket list? A trip to Europe.

For now though, it’s green and gold. It's summer nights under the lights. It's DKCU — and Bonny's midfield magic, back where it belongs.
