DKCU Welcomes New Director of Community Engagement, Gus Guevara

Communities don’t grow on their own. They grow because people care enough to build them. This is why the club is excited to welcome Gus Guevara as DKCU’s new Director of Community Engagement.

Gus is a familiar face across DeKalb County. Through his role as Hy-Vee’s Community Engagement Manager, he has built strong connections with local families, nonprofits, schools, and businesses. He has a genuine ability to bring people together, which fits perfectly with what DKCU continues to build both on and off the pitch.

His background in events and partnership building adds another layer to the role. As the club continues to deepen its community roots, launch new initiatives, and activate more youth and family programs, Gus will help make sure those efforts reach the right people in the right ways.

The Annies are proud to be a club shaped by its community. Welcoming Gus adds another person who believes in that mission and is ready to help carry it forward.

More collaborations, more touch points with local families, more connections between the game and the people who love it, and more ways for DKCU to serve DeKalb County. That’s what Gus brings to the table, and we’re excited for what comes next.
