We are excited to yet again announce a new member of our Board of Directors! Meet Dr. Dave Smith, Chiropractic Physician at Northwestern Medicine and is the team chiropractor for Northern Illinois University Athletics. Not only has he had years of experience in the doctor's office, he has been surrounded by athletics for just as long, and has been supportive of the club for years. Now, he joins the team as a member of our Board of Directors and wants to hit the ground running! Him and his wife, Andrea, live in Sycamore with their 5 children, their youngest playing soccer for the local park district.
Dave has this to say about the club and our mission, “The efforts of the DKCU organization and volunteers are absolutely incredible. They provide a professional experience and have a strong will to give back and enrich the community. Our community is better because of DKCU.”
Club President John Hall added, "Dave has advocated for the club since we crossed paths a while back and having another person with his skillset join our Board who can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the group while also challenging the status quo will make DKCU stronger in the coming years. Welcome aboard, Dave!"
Dave joins John Hall, Ramneek Chitkara, Brian VanBuren, Jenny Hall, Ron Haub and Andy Hayes on the club's Board of Directors. DKCU will begin it's 5th season in May of 2023 as it prepares for a full summer of soccer with a men's and (defending Illinois State Champion) women's team.
