We are absolutely thrilled to announce our newest signing for the 2025 season - Liam O'Donoghue from Geneva, Illinois! This talented 19-year-old midfielder/center back from Loyola University Chicago is ready to make his mark with DKCU after recovering from a knee injury.
Liam comes to us with an impressive background, having been named Kane County Chronicle Boys Soccer Player of the Year during his senior year at Geneva. His versatility as both a central defensive midfielder and center back gives our coaching staff exciting tactical options for the upcoming season.
"Coming off my 6-month recovery for my knee injury, DKCU is going to provide me with the best opportunity to build back up all aspects of my game before the fall," O'Donoghue shared when asked about joining our club.
When he's not dominating the midfield, you might find Liam cheering for his favorite team, Tottenham Hotspur. This ambitious young talent values balance in his life but isn't afraid to aim high with his goals both on and off the pitch.
Fun fact: Liam prefers big parties over small gatherings and is firmly in the Coca-Cola camp in the eternal soda debate!
