Loud, Proud, and Still Tearin’ It Up: Meet Nik, DKCU’s Director of Media

You’ve heard him echo across the field, you’ve vibed to his game day intros, and if you’ve ever yelled “LET’S GO DKCU!” at full volume... chances are, Nik was already two decibels ahead of you.

As DKCU’s longtime Director of Media and our stadium PA announcer, Nik isn’t just part of the soundtrack of our club—he is the soundtrack. From the first whistle to the final cheer, he’s behind the mic keeping the energy sky-high and the vibes immaculate.
Off the field, Nik works in digital marketing, and his online shopping habits are as eclectic as his playlist—latest buy: a book about the 2024 presidential election (we assume it’s a thriller). His childhood bedroom walls were plastered with big hair 80s rock bands like Poison and Bon Jovi, and yes, he still carries that rockstar spirit into every home game.
Nik once dreamed of visiting a marble factory. He’s a proud supporter of Tranmere Rovers (we know, it’s niche, we respect it), and at 80, he says the goal is simply reaching 81—a sentiment that’s somehow both wise and classic Nik.
When he’s not dropping movie quotes from The Goonies or Escape from New York, he’s looking forward to what matters most: watching the community show up and get loud for this club.
Oh—and his walkout song? Funkadelic's "Tear The Roof Off The Sucka." Enough said.
So if you see a guy with a mic and a mischievous grin this summer, that’s Nik. Give him a wave. And if your ears are ringing a little after the match... you're welcome.
