The Annies’ front line just got a serious injection of pace. We are thrilled to announce that Rochelle native Diego Salazar—known to his teammates as "Sally"—is officially joining DeKalb County United for the 2026 season.
A dynamic winger capable of terrorizing defenses on both the left and right flanks, Diego is ready to bring his "Real Madrid" inspired flair to the NIU Soccer Stadium.
Diego was drawn to the club by the high-stakes environment created by the DKCU coaching staff. For a player looking to reach the next level, our "push to the limits" philosophy was exactly what he was looking for.
"I love the intensity of each practice," Diego says. "The coaches push us to our limits and truly want us to improve overall."
