DeKalb County United Welcomes Erica Huerta to the Board of Directors


DeKalb County, IL — October 18, 2023 — DeKalb County United (DKCU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Erica Huerta as the newest member of its Board of Directors.

Erica Huerta brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the DKCU Board, with a proven track record in community engagement. She has a strong passion for soccer and service to others, which aligns perfectly with DKCU's values and vision. As a dynamic addition to the Board, Erica will play a pivotal role in enhancing our commitment to serving our community and uniting through soccer.

As DKCU welcomes Erica Huerta, we also bid farewell to Ron Haub, who has been an invaluable member of the Board. Ron's dedication and contributions have significantly impacted DKCU's growth and development, and we extend our heartfelt appreciation for his service.

Erica's appointment and Ron's departure are effective immediately, and we are eager to embark on this new chapter with her on board.

DeKalb County United is a minor-league soccer club. Founded in 2017, DKCU is a non-profit 501c4 volunteer-run organization committed to uniting our community through soccer. With men's and women's teams and in partnership with a full youth academy, the club looks to provide our supporters with a fantastic match day atmosphere at NIU while providing DeKalb County businesses and organizations with support through our joint-fundraising efforts, engagement, and marketing to promote local initiatives.
