You know that one person on your team who just... does everything? At DKCU, that’s Dan Carl.Official titles? Oh, he’s got a few:

  • Director of Women’s Soccer

  • Head Coach of the Women’s Team

  • Head Coach of the Men’s Reserve Team

Meet Dan Carl: DKCU’s Swiss Army Coach of Soccer Goodness
Meet Dan Carl: DKCU’s Swiss Army Coach of Soccer Goodness

Unofficial title? Soccer lifer with an eternal stash of training gear and enough coaching wisdom to fill DeKalb County and then some.

Off the pitch, Dan's a Director of Project Management, which makes sense — because juggling multiple teams while building a competitive platform for more players requires the kind of organization usually reserved for space launches and holiday meal planning.

As a kid, Dan dreamed of going to Europe to take in a match (we’re working on it), and his walls were plastered with legends like Larry Bird, Gianfranco Zola, and Roger Clemens — a true triple-sport tribute.

These days, when he’s not coaching, Dan’s probably watching a Brat Pack movie (yes, really), buying more soccer gear online, or planning his next move to help more local players find their way into competitive soccer.

His heart beats Chelsea blue (we try not to hold that against him), and when he turns 80, Dan hopes to be surrounded by loved ones, proud of the impact he’s made on others. Honestly, we think he’s already knocking that out of the park.

This season, Dan’s most excited about expanding DKCU’s competitive platform — because for him, it’s all about opportunity, growth, and making soccer dreams possible.

Thanks for being the Swiss Army Knife of DKCU, Dan. You're a coach, a mentor, and one of the many reasons this club works.
