While the players heat up the pitch and the crowd brings the noise, there’s one person quietly making sure the magic reaches fans far and wide. Meet Blaize Diaz, longtime member of the DKCU volunteer staff and our trusty Gameday Livestream Camera Operator.

Blaize has been manning the lens for years, capturing every dramatic goal, every spicy tackle, and every chaotic substitution board fumble (we’ve all been there). He's the reason your grandparents in Florida and that one cousin in Seattle can still catch the action.
By day, Blaize is an electrician—literally keeping the lights on. And when he’s off the clock? He’s buying disc golf discs online and dreaming about playing a soccer match at Soldier Field. You know, casual bucket list stuff.
His favorite guilty pleasure movie genre? Anything Star Wars. So if you catch him humming the Imperial March during warmups, just go with it.
Blaize is a Chicago Fire fan, but his heart beats DKCU green. And when asked what he’s most looking forward to this season, he didn’t miss a beat: “Watching the community join together to support DKCU.”
At 80, he hopes to look back and know he made people smile—and if you've watched a DKCU match from the comfort of your couch, you already know he’s doing just that.
Thank you for all you do, Blaize. The stream wouldn’t be the same without you.
