The Annies’ defensive and midfield rotation is adding a massive dose of Division I experience and a "promotion-first" mentality for the 2026 season. We are excited to officially announce that Hinsdale native and Bradley University standout Ardit Abdullai has joined the club.

Commonly known to his teammates as "Diti," Ardit is a versatile asset capable of locking down the flanks as an outside back or controlling the tempo in the midfield. When asked why he chose to spend his summer at the NIU Soccer Stadium, his answer was simple: excellence. "Best club, best fans, and committed players and staff towards success," Ardit noted, highlighting the high standards that define the United culture.

While his focus on the pitch is intense, Ardit’s off-field vibe is a masterclass in Midwest summer living. If you caught him on a rare night without soccer on the schedule, you’d likely find him at the grill. For Diti, a perfect summer evening involves grilling up some corn on the cob—a fitting choice for an Annie—and settling in for a classic movie.

"Best club, best fans, and committed players and staff towards success."

Ardit is fueled by a unique (but highly effective) recovery diet of watermelon and chocolate milk, which clearly provides the energy needed for his high-work-rate style of play. As we look toward the 2026 campaign, fans can expect nothing less than total commitment from the Hinsdale native. When asked what the supporters should look for this summer, his message was short and bold: Promotion.

Welcome to the frontline of the fight, Diti!
