When you’ve been with DKCU as long as Andy Hayes has, you stop counting the seasons and start counting the memories (but don’t worry — he still counts the dollars too).

Meet Andy Hayes: DKCU’s Steady Hand on the Books

Andy Hayes, our long-serving Treasurer and Board Member, has been helping DKCU stay on track behind the scenes since the early days. From balancing budgets to balancing Liquid Death orders (his most recent internet splurge), Andy keeps things cool, calm, and fully accounted for.

In the real world, Andy works in Supply Chain and Procurement, so yes — he’s exactly the kind of person you want managing your soccer club’s finances. He’s got spreadsheets for days, a soft spot for Rad (peak 80s BMX cinema), and a nostalgic connection to posters of the Porsche 911, Mark Duper, and the wildly impractical-but-beautiful Vector W2.

As a kid, Andy dreamed of being a garbage man — and honestly, with his attention to detail, he probably would’ve been elite. But we’re glad he stuck with soccer instead. These days, his dream is simpler: to actually attend a DKCU home match. (Yes, really. You know how it is when you’re always working behind the curtain.)

Andy’s favorite team outside of DKCU is Liverpool, which checks out — because like the Reds, he believes in passion, patience, and building something great from the ground up.

When Andy hits 80, what will matter most? “My boys — and DKCU.” We honestly couldn’t sum up the club spirit any better.

Thanks for everything you do, Andy. The club wouldn’t be the same without your steady hand, dry humor, and uncanny ability to remember the price of literally everything.
