DeKalb County United is excited to announce that PJ Hamilton has been named the first head coach of the DKCU Men's u23 team. Coach Hamilton will be responsible for building out a roster for the 2019 season and will join the program immediately.

"Coach Hamilton has demonstrated he is capable of both running a program and helping players grow.  As a member of the DeKalb High School coaching staff for 9 years, he understands the responsibility that comes with leading young players in terms of expectations, work ethic, results and passion for the game. He has shown a history of developing players for the next level and prepares well for training sessions and matches, while continually taking classes to improve his own coaching skill set.  Most importantly he is an upstanding person off the pitch and the type of role model we want representing our program. I think Coach Hamilton is the perfect fit to lead our new Men's u23 team." said Club President John Hall.

The Men's u23 team will play in the Metropolitan Soccer League against clubs from across the Chicagoland area. Training sessions will take place alongside the first team and all u23 home matches will be free admission.

Coach Hamilton lives in DeKalb with his wife Julie and daughter Nora.
